Our first day in Adelaide! We arrived at 8.30 in the morning and went straight to the hotel to crash! Jet lag completely set in and we were out for a good few hours before we could muster the energy to go out and explore! Left the hotel around 2pm, wandered round the west end for a bit till we hit the main high street through Rundel Street. We lasted an hour before we felt drained again and headed back to the hotel to recover. But on the way we stumbled across Adelaide's Central Market! A great market, much like the one in Barcelona with lots of stalls and vendors selling great local produce like cheese, artisan bread, olive oil, street food and organic veg stalls! We bought an artisan baguette, pain au raisin (escargot), bagels, baklava and a pain au chocolat. Loved the market, great introduction to Adelaide and right next to China town so was a good place to get a feel for the city and pick up a few bits for dinner!
