Adelaide and Bracegirdles

Thursday 14th

On our arrival to Adelaide we realised that my luggage handle had been damaged and was hanging off by one side so Thomas complained to the airline and they sent us the address of a luggage store near South Terrace to get it fixed. However cos it was so close to the end of our trip we had to rush over and drop it in this morning to have it fixed in time four our flight out to Melbourne on Saturday.

After dropping it off in a mad rush we went to the central market to grab some breakfast. I had an escargot from the stall I had got one from before and Thomas had a chicken caesar salad baguette. We had a wander round again, I love the market and then went to visit Megan at work where she said she would talk us through her work as a chocolatier. 

We got the train to Emerson and walked over to Bracegirdles which is in the middle of a residential area. The shop is a coffee shop and also has the chocolate workshop and pastry kitchen inside like a working studio where people can see the chefs at work. Megan caught our eye as we came in and invited us into the chocolate studio. It was amazing!! There was only Megan and one other girl making the chocolate, they had an oven, shelves of moulds a kitchen mixer with molten chocolate churning away and they were working on some chocolate cups with red hearts on top. Megan gave us a tour and then gave us a sample of comequat chcolate that was cooling on the rack. 

After our tour we sat in the shop and had some hot chocolate- Megan recommended the chilli and cinnamon and Thomas had the white hot chocolate. It was the best hot chocolate I've ever had EVER!! I was in love!! We bought some chocolate covered peanuts and a milk chocolate koala, which we had that evening!

From Emerson we went back into town and bought a thank you card for megan and Aaron from Ebenezer Place and then rushed over to the luggage store to get my repaired luggage. We then wandered back to the market to get some bread for soup later on but it was shut so instead we got some bread from the supermarket (Coles) and Thomas got a burrito before we headed back for soup and bread, Megan and Aaron were out so we had a nice night in.
